Stockmann started operations in Estonia in 1993 with a Stockmann store. The department store was completed in 1996 and it was expanded to become the largest department store in the Baltic States in 2000.

Stockmann has other operations in Estonia, including the Seppälä chain that nowadays comprises 14 shops and which started up in Estonia in 1999. Hobby Hall also has a presence in Estonia in the form of mail order operations. Stockmann acquired Lindex in 2008.
Seppälä is the biggest Finland fashion shop chain, which offers modern clothes for women, men and children, as well as accessories in the middle price group. The collections include Seppälä design clothes, as well as other trademark clothes.
