Colour power!

Remember to have a varied diet. Enjoy six handfuls of root colourful vegetables, berries and fruits every day. The more colours there are the better. Different coloured vegetables contain different kinds of compounds that are beneficial for health. A varied diet is the most delicious way of getting all the vitamins and minerals that are vital to your well-being.

Fix yourself up with fibres!

Fibre takes care of your stomach, keeps you full and protects you from illness. Eat plenty of wholegrain products that provide you with fibre but also vitamins, minerals as well as antioxidants and plant estrogens that protect your cells.

Soft is the best!

Your body requires a proper amount of the right kind of fat. Vegetable oils, margarine in tubs (containing vegetable oils), fish, nuts and almonds contain high-quality fat that provides you with energy, flavours and essential fatty acids.

Remember to eat regularly!

Enjoying meals regularly guarantees a fresh and good feeling for the whole day. Discover the meal rhythm that suits you the best by listening to your body. This will mean you won’t get too hungry. If there is a long gap between meals, you should at least have a snack.

It’s all about quality!

Fill half of your plate with vegetables, one quarter with a side dish and one quarter with meat, fish, egg, tofu or beans. Use the example plate and put together a high-quality meal. Change the familiar example plate into a food basket model in a store, and fill half of your basket with fruits and vegetables.
